USOPC Resources
-
Medical Network
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s Medical Network (MN) provides medical care to eligible Team USA athletes, including orthopedics, sports medicine, general medicine, women’s health and more.
Eligible athletes may receive travel assistance and a broad range of medical services at a reduced or no cost.
-
Medical Assistance Fund
This resource is designed to support the medical needs and alleviate financial burdens of elite athletes training for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Funds will be used to pay for significant medical costs incurred by eligible athletes, including necessary travel-related expenses. The USOPC is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of athletes facing medically-related financial hardships, enabling them to overcome various challenges and pursue their goals.
-
Global Travel Insurance
The USOPC provides global travel insurance to athletes through Zurich, facilitated via International SOS (ISOS). Zurich provides coverage for medical emergencies while traveling abroad, and ISOS can provide assistance with travel-related inquiries and prescription medications lost during travel. USOPC staff, athletes enrolled in Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI), and Team USA delegation members are enrolled in this coverage automatically while traveling internationally. Coverage begins when the traveler leaves the place where they normally work or live and ends when they return to that location.
-
Elite Athlete Health Insurance
Designated Team USA athletes are eligible to receive health insurance through the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s Elite Athlete Health Insurance Program (EAHI). EAHI is administered by UMR, a United Healthcare company, and is a preferred provider organization (PPO) plan with a network of medical service providers contracted with UMR.
For more information about EAHI, contact the USOPC EAHI team at eahi@usopc.org.
