We recognize that behind the competitive spirit of Team USA athletes are people striving to create well-rounded lives. We help support the whole athlete from the start of their career to their retirement and beyond through direct funds, programs and services that help them excel in their day-to-day lives, on and off the field of play. We are involved in everything from career and education, to financial and emotional well-being, to how athletes use their platform and more.

The purpose of this group is to allow for networking and career advice for current and former Team USA athletes. We want to build thought leadership through a community. We believe this community has the ability to support the many aspects of life after sport by connecting people, providing job leads, referrals and valuable content to help athletes achieve their goals.

The transition from athletics into the civilian world is complex and demands new skills and knowledge. Next Step, at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, was designed specifically to help elite athletes and military veterans navigate that transition and prepare them for a career in business.

This general management certificate program combines a self-paced online learning phase with a live online learning phase to deliver an educational experience that is both flexible and immersive. Next Step helps participants refine what they know, discover what they don’t, and build the right business acumen to move their careers forward. It also allows them to build a robust network of ambitious peers who are also experiencing a career transition—bonds that last for years after the program concludes.

This hub offers essential resources and practical guidance to help Team USA athletes and their families protect their privacy and safety online.

The USOPC recognizes that behind each Team USA Athlete is a person with hopes, goals, and dreams that are as intense and real as the ones you have for the field of play. You are unique individuals with unique aspirations that go beyond sport and we want to see you succeed on whatever path you decide to take next. We offer a variety of resources that are designed to help you take that next step towards the passions that lie ahead in your life after sport.

The Team USA Tuition Grants allow athletes to further their education in preparation for lifelong career goals by defraying a portion of athletes’ tuition costs. This can take the form of traditional 2-and 4-year undergraduate or graduate degrees, industry specific certificates, professional development courses, job readiness training courses, and other educational courses that will lead to the advancement of the athlete’s career aspirations.

Through the USOPC, eligible Team USA athletes living and training in California, Colorado, and Utah can receive in-state tuition at select public colleges and universities regardless of an individual’s resident status.
